Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Noah’s Arkhives (https://www.noahsarkhives.com/, “this blog”, “I”, “me”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit. I aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
If you have a question about this policy, email me at [your email].
1. Who runs this blog
Noah’s Arkhives is a personal blog written by Noah Marshall. It is hosted on Blogger, a service provided by Google.
2. Information I collect
I don’t ask you to create an account, and I don’t sell your personal information. Information is collected in these ways:
When you leave a comment. Comments are handled by Blogger. Depending on how you comment, your name, profile and comment are shown publicly with your post, and Google processes your information under its own privacy policy. Please don’t include private details in a comment.
Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies. Google (for hosting, advertising and analytics) and affiliate partners may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, the site that referred you and the time of your visit. The sections below explain these.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This blog, and the third parties described below, use them to make the site work, to measure traffic, to show ads and to track affiliate referrals. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
This blog uses Google AdSense to show ads.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland may see a cookie consent notice provided by Google, which lets them choose how their information is used for ads.
5. Analytics (Google Analytics)
This blog uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which posts are popular and how people arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time on page, approximate location (based on IP address) and device type. I see this as combined statistics, not as information that identifies you personally.
You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Affiliate links
Some posts and pages contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partners may use cookies to record that you came from this blog.
Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Noah’s Arkhives is a participant in the Amazon Associates program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com.au.
Other affiliate networks. This blog also contains links through affiliate networks such as Impact and CJ Affiliate (for example, links to Canva and NordVPN).
Links to my own books on Amazon are there because I wrote them, and I may earn royalties if you buy one.
7. Embedded content and links to other sites
Posts may include embedded content, such as YouTube videos, and links to other websites. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other site, and that site may collect information about you and use cookies. I’m not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites, so please read their privacy policies.
8. Sharing and overseas disclosure
I don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. Information collected through Blogger, AdSense, Google Analytics and affiliate partners is processed by those companies, and it may be stored on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. I may also disclose information if required by law.
9. How long I keep information
I keep emails only as long as needed to respond and for my own records. You can ask me to delete your correspondence at any time. Comments stay on the blog until they are deleted, and you can ask me to remove one.
10. Children
This blog is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.
11. Your rights
You can ask to access or correct personal information I hold about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing [your email]. If you are unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please contact me first. If we can’t resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time, for example if I add new tools to the blog. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
