The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: A Pathway to Divine Fulfillment

The concept of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, as outlined in the New Testament, is a profound testament to the intricate and transcendent relationship between humanity and the divine. These gifts are not merely symbolic tokens; they are transformative powers that enable individuals to transcend their ordinary limitations and align themselves with a higher purpose. To truly grasp the magnitude of these gifts, one must delve into their biblical foundations and understand their psychological and spiritual implications. In 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, the Apostle Paul provides a detailed enumeration of these gifts: “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish betwee

Lesser Sleep Nowadays but not to worry :)

I've been getting much lesser sleep nowadays and I feel tired during daytime.  Not that I am not aware about the effects of sleep deprivation and how one is required to have sufficient rest to be healthy.  I guess, just like many today, the extra troubles that this current Covid19 pandemic is adding a little bit more stress and worry but for me it was a problem even before then.

A few years back, I got diagnosed with sleep apnea and bought a Devilbiss CPAP machine to aid me in my sleep.  For those nights where the mask leaks don't wake me up in the middle of the night, I do wake up feeling more energetic than usual but there were a lot of nights that I had to turn off the CPAP machine as it was waking me up more times in the middle of the night and in the end, I can't decide whether which is worse: sleeping less for a few hours without the mask or waking up constantly with it.

It seemed that even though I felt more energetic waking up with the CPAP partially on, I would still be feeling sleepy in the daytime with almost as no difference if I didn't use the CPAP.

Recently, I've been looking for some other alternatives or additional help and am seriously considering the OOLER product which I can get from Amazon using this link or directly from Chilisleep using the link here.

Also, you may search in Youtube and see how the channels compare the product with other products of similar nature and this one is one that I found interesting as it was impartial and informative. Click here.

Aside from this, I think I need to be looking for the solution into my faith more and learn to trust our Lord Jesus Christ more deeply than ever before.  Reading some of the verses in the Bible like the ones below reminds me that we really shouldn't worry at all or that much

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. - Matthew 11:28-30

In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves. - Psalm 127:2

Have a great day everyone.  Keep safe and stay safe. God bless.

Upon Friar Review: Glowing reviews for The Chosen

I like the Youtube channel Upon Friar Review.  It's about two Franciscan friars reviewing movies and shows in this channel and I love the way how they deepen my understanding of my Christian faith with the movies and shows that they review. And I am very glad that they have reviewed one of my favourite shows today: The Chosen.  I also like the fact that I share most of their point-of-view about the shows and they teach me as well about it.  So below are the Youtube links as they review Seasons 1 and 2 of The Chosen.   Also, I've linked the headings below to related Amazon items that may interest you. The Book of Job: Synopsis and Lessons

The Book of Job is a part of the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. It is considered one of the most profound and challenging books in the Bible. The central character is Job, a wealthy and righteous man living in the land of Uz. He is known for his piety and devotion to God. Job's life takes a dramatic and tragic turn when Satan challenges his faithfulness. Satan suggests to God that Job's righteousness is a result of his prosperity and that he would curse God if he were to face suffering. God allows Satan to test Job's faith, but with the condition that he does not harm Job physically. Job's suffering begins with the loss of his wealth, his children, and his health.
