The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: A Pathway to Divine Fulfillment

The concept of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, as outlined in the New Testament, is a profound testament to the intricate and transcendent relationship between humanity and the divine. These gifts are not merely symbolic tokens; they are transformative powers that enable individuals to transcend their ordinary limitations and align themselves with a higher purpose. To truly grasp the magnitude of these gifts, one must delve into their biblical foundations and understand their psychological and spiritual implications. In 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, the Apostle Paul provides a detailed enumeration of these gifts: “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish betwee

When God says no....

In this very short review video by Durbania, I am reminded of my shortcomings where I felt disappointed that God didn't seem to be listening and answering my prayer.  So I am not really surprised that whenever I remember this scene in its entirety, my eyes become teary almost everytime.

Jesse has been a cripple since he was a young boy.  He has a brother whom he dearly loved but left him to join the Zealots movement.  Feeling abandoned and wanting to walk again, he goes to this pool in Bathezda where people believe that has healing powers if you can get there in time when it starts to bubble.

Jesus one day came to the pool and approached him and asked him, "Do you want to be healed?".  At this point and for so many years, he was so fixated to just getting first to the pool, that he asked Jesus instead, "Will you take me to the pool?"

And Jesus' answer was a heartbreaking no.  Jesus wasn't doing this to be cruel but just to point out to Jesse that the pool wasn't the answer.  The answer to his prayers was in front of him and he just doesn't realizes it.

How many times in our lives that we ask something from God only to hear nothing back or seemingly our prayers left unanswered?  Only to find out later in life that something better actually came along and we didn't even realize it.

The world in is pain now with the pandemic and many have suffered with loved ones lost and I guess many are praying it away but it has been like eternity and here it still is, mutating from one variant to another.   God's plan and healing will soon come but in His own time. For now, we must be patient and be humble and sacrifice for now this crippling pandemic.  One day, God will put an end to this and call us to stand up and walk with him.

Keep the faith.  God's love will see humanity through.

And I am very glad that they have reviewed one of my favourite shows today: The Chosen.  I also like the fact that I share most of their point-of-view about the shows and they teach me as well about it.  So below are the Youtube links as they review Seasons 1 and 2 of The Chosen.   Also, I've linked the headings below to related Amazon items that may interest you. The Book of Job: Synopsis and Lessons

The Book of Job is a part of the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. It is considered one of the most profound and challenging books in the Bible. The central character is Job, a wealthy and righteous man living in the land of Uz. He is known for his piety and devotion to God. Job's life takes a dramatic and tragic turn when Satan challenges his faithfulness. Satan suggests to God that Job's righteousness is a result of his prosperity and that he would curse God if he were to face suffering. God allows Satan to test Job's faith, but with the condition that he does not harm Job physically. Job's suffering begins with the loss of his wealth, his children, and his health.
